Mortal beauty

I’ll tell you a secret. Something they don’t teach you in your temple. The Gods envy us. They envy us because we’re mortal, because any moment might be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we’re doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again. – Achilles

The List

Sometimes, we all just need a little extra help. What with work, family, friends, kids, relationships, laundry (my current nemesis – I just can’t seem to keep up!), dreams, emotions, desires and just life, really, it’s no wonder we fall into these momentary traps of feeling like we’ve been dragged through the mud as we’re trying to keep all together. It’s the day where I get to indulge in a beautiful self-practice at the shala (usually accompanied by the magical sounds of Nadav Kahn) with a little sleep-in after a week of super early morning starts. It’s the day where I usually have the rest of the day to do whatever my heart desires, and in keeping with the commitment to living a lifestyle that is awesome, aware, creative and fun, I’ve resolved to make sure that I do at least one thing every Sunday that is exactly that. And what better way to commit than to blog about it, so that in some way I feel like I am Continue reading
